November 10 - Saint Leo the Great

He was the successor of Pope Sixtus, in the 6th century. There were hard times inside and outside of the Church. Outside, the Barbarian armies were attacking Christians. And inside- some people were spreading heresies and making mistakes. Leo was not afraid of anything: he wrote refuting heresies and organized a council. When an army would attack Rome, the people panicked. Leo went out to talk with Attila, who everyone feared, and was able to calm Attila and made a peace treaty with him. Leo the Great was loved by many because of his great humility and charity.
