Are you searching? Questioning which path to take? Want to make a difference and change lives, especially yours? Compelled by a call to service and justice? Colorado Vincentian Volunteers are companions with the poor in the Spirit of St. Vincent de Paul and respond to these questions by serving. Volunteers fulfill this mission by working in direct service/advocacy, living in community supported by prayer, and participate in a reflection process that addresses the relationship between charity and justice. You discover the many ways the poor reveal the message of the gospel. Together you are “Companions on the Journey.” Sites include: social services (women, children, youth, homeless, seniors, etc.), health care, emergency assistance, schools, job training, runaways, housing, literacy, parish ministries, and community organizing. You receive room and board, health insurance, transportation, monthly stipend, and AmeriCorps Education Award. You live in community with others ranging in ages 22-30 near downtown Denver.
