As the faces of our parishes change, the growing number of young people whom we minister to does as well. Learn how to bridge the gap between the various cultures and be more effective as a youth minister at the upcoming Youth Ministers In-Service, "Best Practices in Youth Ministry, Bridging the Gap! Inculturation." Dr. Arturo Chávez will present how to effectively work with the various generations of teens, from those that have recently arrived, to those of first, second and third generations. How do we take the best practices in our youth ministry programs (no matter what culture) and adapt them to better minister to this growing population?
The day will address the changing faces of our parishes, and how together, we can learn to build bridges and fill in the gap to be better youth ministers to our teens. Come share and have coffee with your fellow youth ministers. Learn how to put into practice "Best Practices" in youth ministry. Let us learn from one another. How do we as youth ministers accept and welcome our teens from the various generations within cultures, and understand where they presently are in their faith formation.? Learn what we need to know to become better at welcoming and ministering.
All are welcome!
