Missioners of Christ is a Catholic Christian community and apostolate called together to fulfill the Great Commission, “making disciples of all nations” (Matt 28:19). Our calling is to discipleship; forming missionaries for the third millennium who desire to boldly engage a world desperately in need of Christ. Could this be what God is calling you to? Our “four pillars” shape the essence of our formation and spirituality; we are Eucharistic (CCC 1324), Charismatic (CCC 2003), Marian (CCC 971), and Magisterial (CCC 85); being fully submitted to the teaching authority of the Catholic Church.

Maryknoll Lay Missioners is a Catholic organization inspired by the mission of Jesus to live and work with poor communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America, responding to basic needs of the people and contributing to the creation of a more just and compassionate world. Our ministries include health and health care; educational/vocational instruction; sustainable development; civil and human rights; and pastoral ministry. Our areas of service are Bolivia, Brazil, Cambodia, El Salvador, Kenya and Tanzania and our length of service is three and a half years renewable.

Nuestros voluntarios viven en comunidad intencional, aprenden sobre vivir simplemente, trabajan por la justicia social, y exploran la espiritualidad. Ven a servir a la comunidad, trabajando en asuntos sociales como la pobreza, inmigración, violencia doméstica, educación, y salud. Tenemos oportunidades de trabajar en iglesias, refugios, centros legales de inmigración, programas educativos para jóvenes, y clínicas médicas.

Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) is an interdenominational organization serving people in need in eastern Kentucky. CAP offers a strong cultural experience, a variety of service placements, distinctive community living and a flexible time commitment. Long-term (9-12 months) and short-term (3 weeks – 8 months) volunteers needed to serve in child and family development centers, adult education, elderly services, housing and home repair, summer camp and many other poverty-focused programs. Room and board provided in one of CAP’s several volunteer houses.
