Our way in this life is wonderful. We often dream about becoming great personalities, having fame and prestige, having money, traveling. We dream about a great house that would bring the envy of our entire neighborhood and of course, we would be better than everyone else!
Of course it is possible, but perhaps we have not asked God what he wants of us. When we buy a mobile phone, we immediately look at the instructions so that the manufacturer can tell us how it works so we can get the most out of our device.
So, why don’t we ask God how we should function, what he wants of us? The person who made the mobile phone did not have swimming with the device in mind. So, God created us for a particular purpose. What is it?
Our goal in life, of course, is to be happy, to be comfortable. But the real purpose of our lives can only be revealed to us by God. It is simple: just get close to God and ask him as a friend. He will answer, perhaps not with words, but you will feel he is there.
How many times do we frantically try to do something, such as going to a concert by the latest musician who is coming to our city, and we go to great lengths to be there, dealing with traffic, crowds of people, and the anxiety to get there? When we arrive we realized it was not what we expected and we wasted our time and money. Do you consider that perhaps God placed obstacles so that you would reconsider and not attend the concert because it was not worth it? Or perhaps you didn’t board a plane because you forgot the tickets, arrived late, and was saved from an accident. Were you saved by God?
Ask God why he created you, what is the meaning of your life and you’ll see how you receive great answers. We just have to learn to listen.
May God bless you and fill you with the Holy Spirit.
