No one is greater simply because he or she is first in the class or won the school’s science fair. And no one is any less just because they came in last place. You are who you are before God, regardless of your achievements.
Many times we appear to be something we are not, perhaps to create a positive image in society or before our relatives or friends. Yet only God and you can truly know who you really are.
Remember that we should never appear to be something we are not. It happens to us when we like a girl and we pretend to be great and can do just about anything. I believe when the truth is known the result could be worse than if we had simply been ourselves.
God knows who we truly are and that, if we really want to be the smartest in class, then we need to study hard. If we want to join the sports center in our community, then we need to save up to pay for the membership. If we want to visit the state capital, we need to work, save, and then take the trip.
Nothing is out of our reach; but everything needs a prior action. Why should you appear to be who you are not? It is better to make a resolution to do what is necessary in order to achieve what we want and at the moment of having done it, we will realize there is no need to brag about our achievements, because we are happy with ourselves and with what God wants of us.
We were given the ability to achieve whatever we want, provided it is positive for our lives. Why show off in advance? Let us strive to achieve and, after having done it, we will feel great satisfaction.
So, let’s get down to work and strive for what we want to do. We have the ability and intelligence to do so and we just have to make an effort to see the results.
May God fill you with the Holy Spirit!

"Therefore, whoever thinks he is standing secure should take care not to fall. No trial has come to you but what is human. God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength; but with the trial he will also provide a way out, so that you may be able to bear it." (1 Corinthians 10:12-13)
