“John came and he did not eat or drink so people said that he had a demon inside. Then Jesus came, who ate and drank, and they say he is a drunkard and a glutton.”
There is a Spanish proverb that refers to a dog who does not eat nor allows anyone else to eat. Hispanics in this country say that “he neither throws the ball nor bats.” In othe words, sometimes people are so contrary that nothing moves them, nothing convinces them, and they criticize everything. It might be due to a passing bad moment or that the struggles of life have turned the person bitter and depressed. The cure for this is not just to visit a psychologist or psychiatrist. Memories need to be healed also. But the real cure is gratitude: looking at all the good things in life and being grateful for all.
How grateful are you? What are the things you can give thanks for today?
