Theophane always knew he had a special vocation to become a missionary. His family was very close and suffered with this decision but they knew that this was God’s calling. Theophane traveled to Asia where he served Christians, often in the middle of difficulty and persecutions. St. Theophane’s kindness conquered even his jailers. He died for his faith in Vietnam.
