Our entire life could pass us by as we wait for the opportunities to shine, to do great things, and become heroes. Perhaps the opportunity will never arise. Perhaps the most heroic things are the same and least appreciated things: sacrificing an afternoon of entertainment to accompany a person who is sick or alone; caring for a parent or grandparent who can no longer care for themselves; staying at home to care for a younger sibling so your parents can go out or doing your work as best you can… these are the heroes that God will take into account.
