What does entering through the narrow gate mean? Sometimes we could take advantage of privileges in our lives for our own benefit. And, if we start getting used to that, perhaps we will ignore opportunities to do good or to serve, particularly if such opportunities come with great difficulties. That is precisely where we are called, however. Entering through the narrow gate means to forget our own benefit and to take advantage of the slightest opportunity to do good to others. It might not sound that palatable, but we know that, on the other side of the narrow door is Jesus, with his promise of abundant life.
What are my opportunities in this life? Do I reject some of them because they are too small and don´t bring any personal gain?
