Hilarion lived in Palestine in the 4th century and was a rebellious young man who did not believe in much. He left his home at the age of 14 and arrived in Egypt. There he found the Christian faith and soon converted and was baptized. His only desire since then was to be close to Christ and serve him. He had to battle against many temptations but he overcame them by praying more.
