October 11 - Reflection - Luke 11:29-32
We often want signs because we feel that would make our decisión making easier. Signs are proofs that we are on the right track. When Jesus says today that no other sign will be given, it is because that sign is so great, we won't need any other. The sign of Jonah (who was in the belly of the whale for three days) is the sign of Jesus who was in the tomb for three days also. He rose to a new and abundant life in the Resurrection. To accept this sign means to believe firmly that good will triumph; that life is more powerful than death; that goodness and truth will have the last Word. What else could we need?
Do you sometimes wait for a sign in order to make decisions?
