As an answer to the request that Jesus teach them to pray, he gives them the simplest and most complete prayer we can imagine. It recognizes that God is Father and, therefore, we are all brothers and sisters (and this gives us the core of our relationship with God and with others). It asks for the name of God to be venerated and respected, recognizing that only God is God. It asks for the reign of truth, justice, and peace to become a reality among us. It asks for what we need, and not simply what we want. It invites to learn to forgive, which is the principle of peace. That is, it asks for everything that makes sense in our lives and everything that opens up the way for our relationship with God and with others.
