Bruno is the founder of the Carthusian monks, but before starting this, he was a professor of Theology and had an important position in the diocese. He was not impressed by honors, but in his heart Bruno wanted to be alone with Jesus. After founding his monastery, Pope Urban II called him to be his advisor. Bruno would not have wanted to go, but he obeyed. He was always a happy and active man, who never wanted to see his monks sad or gloomy.
