This is a story that seems more like a soap opera. Wenceslaus’ father, a duke of Bohemia, was Christian, but not his mother. In addition, she was a cruel woman. Wenceslaus was educated in the faith by his grandmother. When his father passed away, Wenceslaus’ mother took over the government and turned his brother against him. Wenceslaus had the support of the people and had taken over part of the kingdom, ruling with peace and justice. But his brother and mother continued scheming against him. They invited him to a banquet and after the dinner, while Wenceslaus prayed, his brother murdered him. Wenceslaus was willing to forgive, even grave offenses.
Who are you willing to forgive?
