Maurilius was a bishop and was asked on one occasion to confirm a child who was dying. He responded that he would do so after Mass ended and in the meantime the child died. Maurilius felt such great pain that he migrated to another country where he worked as a gardener. The faithful from his diocese found him and pleaded with him to return.
