As a child, she liked to construct sand castles on the beach. When she became older, she was to build convents for the nuns of the congregation she founded.
Her family lost everything in the French Revolution, but Elizabeth had studied law and defended her family in court. She won and saved her family of bankruptcy.
Later she started the religious order Daughters of the Cross, to educate the children and care for the sick. She died in 1838.
