Poor John was recruited for the army and he couldn´t keep up with the step. He tried the seminary, and he almost did not make it because studying was hard for him. Only his pastor continued helping him to make his dream to become a priest into a reality. And what a priest he became! The holy Curé of Ars, as the parishioners of a town that had been totally hostile to anything religious called him. He often spent hours and hours listening to people in his confessional. And today he is remembered as a model for all priests.
