He was of a noble family. When he was a young man, he was a messenger in the king’s court. He wanted to become a great soldier and marry a beautiful woman. But God had other plans for him. When he was injured in battle, he began to read the on the lives of saints and had a change of heart to God. With a group of friends in the University of Paris, he began the Society of Jesus. Now they are known as the Jesuits and extend all over the world.
