Even as a child she had a great devotion to the Passion of Christ. She married at the age of 14 to Ulf, who also had a great devotion to the things of God. They had eight children, one of which was St. Catherine of Sweden. Bridget always had great visions and revelations and received messages from God. She visited many rulers and Church leaders.
After the death of her husband, Bridget abandoned her riches and lived a religious life. She founded a religious congregation of Order of the Most Holy Savior. But she continued to live a very active life, traveling and dealing with important figures to communicate the message of God.
