They were two Russian brothers, sons of Russia’s first Christian prince. Before converting to Christianity, their father had many wives. They were the sons of his last wife, who was a Christian. Upon the death of the prince, his eldest brother who was not a Christian conjured a plot to kill them. He first killed Boris, who died forgiving him and later Gleb, who initially was afraid, but later forgave his uncle and died without defending himself.
