April 1 - St. Hugh of Grenoble

Hugh became a bishop at the young age of 27 and although he wanted to retire on many occasions, the pope did not allow it and he ended up serving as bishop for 52 years. Having been a student of St. Bruno, Hugh enjoyed silence and monastic life. He was one of the founders of the Chartreuse, where monks are dedicated to prayer and work. “The service of God completely fills the journey,” Hugo said.

Have you ever felt that you were too young for the things you have been charged with? What is your main inclination? How can you fill your day with service to God and others?
