March 14 - Saint Mathilda
She was the daughter of Counts and had a very good education. One day, one of his father’s gentlemen met Mathilda and felt very attracted by her beauty. They married and Mathilda became the Duchess of Saxony, and later the queen and empress of Germany. She was a guide and advisor to her husband and devoted much time to prayer and caring for the poor. The couple was very much in love and together worked for the good of others.
Do you consider marriage a union of all and as a common mission for good and the service of God?
