He was a young Egyptian rich man who, on a trip to the Holy Land, felt greatly challenged by the sufferings of others and decided to sell everything he owned and give it to the poor. When he was 40 years old he was ordained a priest and then Bishop of Gaza. He worked tirelessly and generously to help people to believe in Jesus, although he did not see the fruit of his work. But he kept the faith and did not cease in his efforts.

Do I trust that, even if I don’t see the fruit of my work, if they are directed to God, will give fruits of life?
