Orphaned when he was still a young child, he was in the care of an older brother who abused him and did not give him food. Another one of his brothers realized what was happening and he took him to his home where he treated Peter with love and care.

Peter lived in times when the church was highly influenced by the powers of this world. He wrote theology and meditations to help people better know their faith.
