Saint Bernadette Soubirous was a French young woman from a very poor family. She could hardly read. Her health was very weak and she had to work hard to help to support the family. But one day she had the enormous gift of being able to see Mary. People could not believe it at first, but then the church recognized that such are the ways of God with the littlest ones.
