Agatha was a very beautiful young woman of the 3rd century who only had a defect: she was a Christian and did not want to marry the governor, who wanted her as a wife. In fact, she did not want to marry anyone, because she felt she had a different vocation. The governor ordered her taken to a house of prostitution. Agatha never changed her style of life or customs. Torture could not move her. Not even death.
