He was another martyr of the persecution of Dacian. Vincent asked God for fortitude and strength to keep calm during his trial and torture. God granted it. Vincent was a young man in whom Bishop Valerius recognized talent and virtue and, despite his youth, entrusted him with preaching the Word.

During his imprisonment, Vincent was able to convert the prison guard and eventually, the emperor allowed other Christians to visit Vincent. He died in prison as a consequence of torture.
