January 4 - Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton

Elizabeth Ann was the daughter of a wealthy family from New York and she married a rich merchant. They lived happy with the five children, but overnight, Elizabeth Ann’s husband lost everything. During her difficulties, a Catholic family helped her greatly and she converted to Catholicism. Somewhat later, she opened a school for girls in Baltimore and Elizabeth Ann decided to continue her life as a religious. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton was later joined by her friends, their daughters and relatives, and she founded the Sisters of Charity of America.

What if your life suddenly changes? Would you know how to turn to God and use your new reality for service? How do you react to adversities?
